The highest mortality rate is found in the category of "bad prognosis Cancer", which accounts for 17% of all cancers on average. It is the cancers of the lung, the pleura, the liver, the pancreas, the esophagus and the central nervous system. Less than one in five people survive at least five years.

Important precision: This data is derived from the follow-up of patients who were cancer victims before the year 2000. Today, new treatments have been developed and survival rates have increased significantly.
